Sometimes Mumu eats donuts for breakfast…
Then he eats some more….
Then he’s sad when it’s all gone!
A good snack for little ones is crackers with meat and cheese. I used gluten free rice crackers, lean ham sandwich meat and havarti cheese. Mumu changes his mind every day about what he is willing to eat so today he refused the meat and cheese and just gnawed on some crackers.
Mumu has never been willing to eat baby food. He jumped straight from nursing into eating big people food.
Recently, I was given one of these baby food pouches and surprisingly he loved it! I decided to pick up a few at the store to have on hand when Mumu’s teething. When his mouth hurts he refuses all foods and will only take a bottle. Today was one such day so I offered him the peach, berry, oatmeal quinoa pouch and he sucked it down in a flash! He didn’t squish it all over himself either! I will probably be stashing a couple of these in his diaper bag for a convenient snack on the go or for the next time his little teethers are hurting.
Chicken and carrots are a good lunch option if your children will eat them. In this instance Mumu opted to toss his carrots onto the floor. He is generally a good eater but I guess today he just wanted to eat meat!
Figs cut up are a healthy snack for little ones.
I like to make sure my little guy has a protein and a carb if possible when he eats. Whether you are trying to be gluten free or just want a nice healthy wheat bread it is a good little snack to feed the little ones. The cheese is an easy to eat protein to go with it.
